KAHS Privacy Philosophy

KAHS values your privacy and recognizes the sensitivity of your personal information. Our employees share the same concerns. Together, we work toward protecting your privacy. We have carefully crafted our Privacy Policy to assure you that the personal information you provide to us will be treated carefully and appropriately.

Collection and Use of Information

In addition, other information about you will be generated by your use of the site and any participation in a health benefit plan that provides coverage for you. Some of these individuals and entities may include health program underwriters, Third Party Administrators, and licensed producers for purposes of considering and verifying your participation in a health benefits plan and in connection with other administrative activities, as well as certain other administrative service providers who have agreed to provide support services to KAHS. These administrative service providers may include entities providing claims processing, insurance, stop-loss insurance and third-party administrator functions. While KAHS attempts to require that its service providers not further use or disclose your personal information for any purpose other than as described in this Privacy Policy, KAHS cannot guarantee their compliance with such restrictions. Aggregated Information shows user activity as a whole rather than on an individual basis. For example, KAHS might compile personal information in order to determine the percentage of Users that live in a particular geographic area or who might obtain a particular healthcare service. KAHS reserves the right to perform statistical analyses and profiling of user behavior and characteristics in order to measure interest in and use of the various areas of the site and to inform third parties of such information. In some cases, KAHS may receive fees for providing this information. KAHS will provide only aggregate data from these analyses to third parties; no personal information will be disclosed.

KAHS may also use your contact information to contact you regarding various matters, including the status of your membership. You may also be contacted by us or by licensed producers regarding additional services and features, or requesting your feedback about your experience with the Site.

The Site may provide you with e-mail capabilities and/or bulletin boards and chat rooms for your use. In the event you voluntarily disclose personal information using such convenience services, that information, along with any substantive information disclosed in your communication or post, can be collected, correlated and used by third parties. This may result in unsolicited messages from third parties. Such activities are beyond the control of KAHS. KAHS does not monitor or review the contents of any e-mail, bulletin board or chat room.

Security

KAHS takes every reasonable precaution to protect site users' information. When users submit sensitive information via the website (such as social security number), that information is encrypted during the transmission process. Despite the use of encryption technology to protect your information, you should be aware that no security system is foolproof. While KAHS attempts to prevent unauthorized persons from accessing stored files or tampering with the website, KAHS cannot guarantee that these efforts will be successful. KAHS is not liable for disclosures of user information due to errors in transmission or unauthorized acts of third parties.

KAHS also does everything reasonable to protect user information off-line. KAHS takes reasonable measures to limit access of personal information in its possession to KAHS employees who need the information to perform a specific job or individuals and entities that may require access to this information to provide you with the benefits of membership. Furthermore, all employees are kept up-to-date on our security and privacy practices. Our employees are notified and/or reminded about the importance we place on privacy, and what they can do to ensure that the site users' information is protected. Finally, the servers that store all personal information are kept in a secure environment, behind a locked door.

Cookies

Like most websites, KAHS Site uses "cookies" to allow you to move more quickly through the site. Cookies are small text files a website can use to recognize repeat users and facilitate their ongoing access to and use of the site. Cookies do not collect personal information, but collect information related to the characteristics of your computer, or when and how you reached the Site. KAHS reserves the right, at its discretion, to change, modify, add, or remove portions of this policy at any time. If we change our privacy policy, we will post those changes on this page so that you may become aware of what information we collect, how we use it and under what circumstances we disclose it. You should visit this page from time to time to review the then-current policy because it is binding on you. We may also contact you by e-mail with any changes.

Children's Privacy

KAHS is not intended or designed to attract children under the age of 13. We do not collect personal information directly from any person we actually know is a child under the age of 13. However, if a parent learns that a child under the age of 13 has submitted information to our website, the parent should contact us and that information will be deleted.
